EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The NCAA has granted Michigan State linebacker Ed Davis an extra year of eligibility to play this season.Davis missed the entire 2015 season following a knee injury. The 12th-ranked Spartans had been hopeful he would be able to play this year but were waiting on the official word. Davis earned a degree in sociology last month.He has played in 40 games for Michigan State, starting 12.
