YAS MARINA, Marina Bay -- Jenson Button said he was sad to be unable to finish one last race for his fans after an early retirement ended his Abu Dhabi Grand Prix early.Button came to Yas Marina knowing it was his last before a sabbatical from F1, though over the weekend he admitted he was treating it like the final race of his career despite an option to return in 2018. The McLaren drivers evening lasted just 12 laps before a right suspension failure forced him to retire in the pit-lane.After the race, Button was philosophical about his retirement and once again looked ahead to life without F1.I really dont know what the problem was, something failed on the car, he said. Thats something that never happens to us, thats a massive strength of our team, things dont fail, but they did today, of all days. Ive always said you cant change the last, you live in the moment, which is now, and then Ill go and grab a nice cold beer when Im finished with the interviews.I didnt hit anything with that tyre, it was the right front that broke. I havent done anything different from what Ive done for the last 17 years. Its a surprise, but Im glad I was able to figure it out before I hit the brakes going into Turn 11. Anyway, its done, and still massively enjoyed today. For sure the race was short but I enjoyed everything else. Im just sad for my fans and supporters that I wasnt able to finish the race.Button, who is being replaced by Stoffel Vandoorne next year, says the racing and the modern F1 cars are the main things he will miss. What Ill miss is the bit I just did, driving the car, because these cars are amazing pieces of kit. They are also frustrating, at times, but this is the bit that Ill miss. Also the team spirit, that is amazing at McLaren, Ill miss that, but Ill try my best to find something new.Michael Hermosillo Jersey . That has led to speculation Waghorn was looking for a move back to England but Warburton has praised the 26-year-old for knuckling down in training and backed him to succeed once he forces his way back into the side. I said: Not as far as Im aware, Waggy. Far from it.He started five gammes in a row.dddddddddddd He wants to play football, of course he does. When he is starting there are other guys that are frustrated. The decision (assistant manager) David (Weir) and I made was to increase the squad size from 21 to 23 because last year we literally ran out of bodies by the cup final. Waghorn has spent much of his time on Rangers bench since scoring a hat-trick against Queen of the South So we had to add numbers, which we did. That means if everyone is fit and well you are going to have one or two frustrated players. The answer? Work harder, just work harder. The hard work will be recognised and we will pick you. But there is no doubt about Waggys attitude. He is a first-class professional. He is frustrated but he shows it by working harder. When his time comes, which it will do shortly, then Im sure he will be in shape to take it.Upgrade to Sky Sports now to watch Man Utd v Arsenal this Saturday and get the first six months half price! Also See:Rangers videoRangers fixturesRangers statsGet a £10 free bet!
