Oregon defensive lineman Austin Maloata was dismissed from the team Sunday after an early-morning arrest, coach Mark Helfrich said.Just hours after Oregons 52-27 loss to Stanford, Maloatas car was reported to have run a red light and collided with another car in an intersection near campus. Officers suspected Maloata, 19, was intoxicated, and after a brief investigation he was arrested for DUII (driving under the influence of intoxicants) and reckless driving. Methamphetamine was found in his car and he was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, according to Eugene police.Maloata was released from county jail later Sunday morning and is scheduled to appear in Lane County Circuit Court on Nov. 29.In eight games this year, Maloata recorded 27 tackles, three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.Maloata is from Pago Pago, Samoa, but moved to Southern California for his senior year of high school.
