Bangladesh bowlers Arafat Sunny and Taskin Ahmed expressed hope that their bowling actions would be cleared as they departed for Brisbane to undergo testing at the ICC-accredited Brisbane National Cricket Centre. Both bowlers were suspended from bowling in international cricket during the World T20 earlier this year. The duo, who will be accompanied by Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha, will have a couple of days to train ahead of their tests on September 8. Taskin is set to appear for the biomechanics test at 10am, while Sunny will undergo his test at 2pm.The results of the tests will be made available within ten to twelve days, giving both bowlers the hope of appearing for Bangladesh in the upcoming series against Afghanistan and England. We have been toiling hard for the last few months, Sunny said. The review committee, our coaching staff and team-mates have all inspired us. Our bowling actions are better. But there will be pressure as it is indeed a matter of an examination. Hopefully, if we can do our work properly, we will come back to international cricket.Taskin struck a more upbeat note, and hoped the hard work he had put in since April would pay off.We are going with a positive mindset, Taskin said. We are, of course, excited and optimistic that we will come back with positive results. We seek everyones blessings so that we can return to international cricket from the next home series. I believe we have put enough effort in the last four to five months. The coach and local experts have supported us. In the last four months, [Mahbub Ali] Zaki sir worked with me. Our head coach will be there with us. Hopefully it will give additional inspiration. The senior players also supported us mentally. We will breeze through the test if the blessings from all are with us.Taskin and Sunny were both reported for suspect bowling actions during the World T20, and were suspended following a test at an ICC-accredited centre in Chennai. The margin was second-highest for a victory in the CPL, and incidentally, the record for the highest margin belongs to Patriots 119-run win against Tallawahs. Tallawahs win on Saturday was their fourth in six matches, placing them a point behind Guyana Amazon Warriors.Patriots chase of 184 didnt get the start they wanted as Andre Russell removed Lendl Simmons for a duck on the third ball of the first over, which conceded only one run. Steyn also stifled with an equally economical first over. Russell was clubbed for a four and six by Faf du Plessis in the third over, before having the batsman caught at cover point in the same over for 12. Evin Lewis and Jonathan Carter also got starts but fast bowler Kesrick Williams derailed the chase by taaking three wickets - of Carter, Lewis and Brad Hodge - in four balls in the ninth over, to reduce Patriots to 53 for 5.ddddddddddddLike Hodge, Devon Thomas also fell for a first-ball duck in the next over before Steyn and Shakib Al Hasan wiped out the tail, as Patriots lost their last eight wickets for only 22 runs. While Williams finished with 3 for 19, Russell, Steyn and Shakib took two apiece with economy rates of less than six each. When Tallawahs were asked to bat, they lost their openers Chadwick Walton and Chris Gayle cheaply but Kumar Sangakkara steered them towards a competitive total with a half-century, his first of the tournament in six innings. He forged crucial partnerships with Rovman Powell - 74 in 7.1 overs - and Andre Russell - 45 in 5.2 overs. When Sangakkara fell for 65 in the 16th over, Shakib provided a late surge with an unbeaten 34 off 17 balls, including five fours and a six, to take them to 183, a total that proved to be too much for Patriots.
